Whitlingham STWWhitlingham Sewage Treatment Works - 1568m³/hr Waste Gas Ground Flare
On Tuesday 13th May 2008, an Enclosed Thermal Combustion Ground Flare was supplied and installed at Whitlingham STW, Trowse, Norwich. The ground flare was designed to burn a maximum of 1568m³/hr of waste sewage gas. The Flare Stack chamber has a diameter of 2.2 metres and a height of 6.5 metres to ensure the flame is fully enclosed. The gas train is 6" diameter and includes a pair of series pneumatically operated butterfly valves and a flame arrestor. The waste sewage gas flare system has two control panels, one which houses the pneumatic equipment including a small air compressor and the other which houses the control and monitoring equipment for the safe operation of the flare stack.

Aldwarke WwTW
Aldwarke Waste water Treatment Works - 464m³/hr Waste Gas Ground Flare
On Thursday 22nd May 2008, an Enclosed Thermal Combustion Ground Flare was supplied and installed at Aldwarke WwTW, Aldwarke, Rotherham. The ground flare was designed to burn a maximum of 464m³/hr of waste sewage gas. The Flare Stack chamber has a diameter of 1.4 metres and a height of 5 metres to ensure the flame is fully enclosed. The gas train is 6" diameter and includes a pair of series electro-hydraulic slam-shut valves and a flame arrestor. The waste sewage gas flare system has a control panel which houses the control and monitoring equipment for the safe operation of the flare stack.
